Here we are folks! The month of Gemini has arrived, and I...am...ready! The amount of cosmic weather that we have been having over the last few months has been intense. Between the planets in Capricorn and the planets in Aries, we have been in constant hurry up and wait mode. Every time we wanted to move an inch, the universe said, "hang on just a second there..." If your experience was anything like mine, you're probably just as tired and worn out as I am. The good news is that the cosmic energy is lightening up because Gemini season is upon us. If you have ever met a Gemini, you know just how fun loving, friendly, and easy to talk to they are. Gemini is an air sign that is ruled by Mercury. Both Gemini and Mercury are fast paced, quick minded, and easily able to move from one thing to another. These two celestial energies give our twin friends a light-hearted attitude and curious nature. Geminis love to learn and exchange ideas, and that will be one of the most important aspects of this month. We will all be more curious and open minded to see and experience what the universe wants to give us. And let me tell you, it is BIG this month. Let's take a look at the chart.
As we can see, there is a lot of Taurus energy still in the air on this new moon. The Sun, Moon, Ascendent and the month's ruler, Mercury, are all in the sign of the bull. The most awesome thing about this chart is that we have the Ascendant and the Moon at an opposition to Jupiter in Scorpio in the seventh house. This means that we are going to have opportunities practically being thrown at us. These will all be in line with those things we have been asking and deeply yearning for over the last several months. Think back to what we said about Jupiter in Scorpio (read up here if you don't remember). He is helping us to reconnect with our deepest inner passions and bring that into clear and prosperous manifestation. This month, if we have been asking and working for it, we have the opportunity to receive it. The key is to operate from a space of open-mindedness and flexibility.
Gemini is a dual sign, hence the twins as its symbol. This means that there are two distinct energies at play. One energy is the Taurus twin, and the other is the Scorpio twin. The immense energy of Taurus can pull us back into a direction of comfort, while the intense energy of Scorpio will be pushing and pulling us to move and make things happen. Taurus will have us feeling like we want kick back and take it easy. Truthfully, there is not a problem with taking a moment or two to relax and recharge. We need those moments to pull ourselves back to center, but if we close our eyes and rest for too long, we could completely miss the opportunities that are being given to us. And with a sharing consciousness, they are all but guaranteed to bear positive fruit.
Luckily, we have Taurus's ruler, Venus, in Gemini and all of those planets in Taurus are making free flowing trines to all the planets in Capricorn. This means that while we will make some time to wind down, we will not lose sight of what is important. Venus in Gemini is in the second house, reminding us of what we want and how the open exchange of ideas with other people can lead to our success. The planets in Capricorn are in the ninth house signaling that we will work to gain a higher level on knowledge with regards to our endeavors. This will help us make practical action plans to move forward and really take it to the next level.
Getting back to the opposition to Jupiter...while the opportunities to receive what we want will be thrown our way, the actual receiving of them will require us to directly confront and ask for those things in a way that may be a little scary. Scorpio taps our deepest passions, and as such, can inspire fear of rejection. If you are feeling that energy, do not worry. If you have worked for it, you will receive whatever you ask for. If you do not get it, it simply means you need to dig in deeper to expand your practical knowledge base to learn more tools that will make you successful. We will not be setup for failure this month. This is where Gemini gives us his greatest strength. The quick minded and fast talking sign, can give us the ability to negotiate for what we want, and to learn quickly if there is more to absorb.
The biggest pit fall of this month is that we may feel it is too much effort or requires too much investment. For Gemini, this is monotonous and boring. Just remember that if you are capable of putting in the work, then the Light of the Creator will flow those blessings to you through Jupiter. Keep your head directed forward and do not lose sight of your goal. If you blink, you just might miss it.
On the same day as the new moon, Uranus will finally make his long awaited ingress into Taurus. This will add a powerful and electric energy to this month. Massive cosmic shifts are coming due to rebel heart Uranus moving signs. More to come on that in my next article.
